The basement of Portsmouth Guildhall is being transformed into an exciting, new creative space where 11-25 year olds can meet and explore their creative potential!
The BASE will give young people access to:
Aged 13-21? Want to be the foundation of youth music in Portsmouth? Keen to make a difference and help shape an exciting, new creative youth space?
The BASE is an exciting new space being created at Portsmouth Guildhall where young people will be able to explore performing, access tech or just hang out.
Set to open in Spring 2024 we want you to help shape The BASE into the space that you want it to be! Become a member of The BASEpanel and:

Free WiFi, a variety of study spaces and plenty of opportunities if inspiration strikes. The BASE is the ideal space to work collaboratively or alone. A venue to meet friends without needing to buy something or be quiet.
Nurture your talents and try new skills through free workshops. Regular jam nights and daytime gigs to tech demos and art projects. Meet others who are into the same things and learn from a wide variety of freelance creatives.
Whether you're into music production, murals, songwriting, video projections or not sure yet, this is your space. With a band practice room, AV suite and tonnes of workshops, the BASE is the perfect place to get that project started.
Whether you're building a following or just starting out, the BASE has the space and network you need. The BASE has bookable rehearsal space and opportunities for industry mentoring. Find collaborators, experiment, and let your creativity soar.
